The McPherson College Automotive Restoration (AR) program is the only 4-year Automotive Restoration Bachelor’s Program in the country. Located in McPherson, Kansas, this program is built on the belief that the best restorers also understand history, design, business, communication, and critical thinking. Cars don’t exist in a vacuum—they live in context. Who built them. Why they matter. How they’re valued, preserved, and shared with the world.
By combining hands-on restoration with broader academic study, students don’t just learn how to restore a car. They also learn to tell its story, manage a project, work with collectors, collaborate across disciplines, and lead in the industry. McPherson College offers participation in the C.A.R.S. Club (College Automotive Restoration Students) to further foster the shared passion for automobiles outside of the classroom setting. The C.A.R.S. Club hosts a variety of events, including the Spring Car Show, drawing participants from around the country. Judging responsibilities are entrusted to AR students, who are trained in the principles and criteria for judging vehicles across all automotive eras. We would like to thank members of the McPherson College CAR judging team that traveled to join us for this year’s event. |
